Cruise day 11 – PP

Morning weigh-in: 107.9

  • Daily loss 1.5 kg/3.3lbs
  • Total lost 4.4kg/9.68lbs

Watercheck – 1.2l by 9pm.  I always find it harder to get my 1.5l  on weekends when I don’t have a huge litre bottle in front of me all day.

Breakfast

  • Oatbran porridge
  • Poached egg – two yolks three whites
  • 3 slices cooked ham – dry fried
  • 6 cherry tomatoes – dry fried with ham
  • 1 cup of tea

Lunch

  • Umm… we were kinda late with the breakfast, and today felt like it was all-go, last episode of Dr Who and all. Kinda didn’t manage to get any lunch in.

Dinner

  • Caesar salad with low-fat home made dressing made to this recipe – the mayonnaise was Hellman’s Ligher than Light 3% fat.   I might try it another time with Quark
  • chicken kebabs
  • 1 poached egg
  • 2 pringles (friends over to watch Dr Who – I crumbled under the pressure of the crisp yummy Pringles)

After dinner snack

  • 100 ml yoghurt

A much better result today on the scales – and probably because I’m finally able to be more active, with my leg getting better.  If I count all the walking to and from the car and around supermarkets and shops today, I’m sure I managed my 30 mins walking for The Good Doctor.  Not quite the Walking For The Sake Of Walking that he prescribes, but it’s better than nothing.

Caesar salad was a grand success today as well.  J and I are slowly building up a repertoire of Things We Can Eat Together – this diet is not friendly, on the surface at least, to one person being ON the diet and one person not.  He’s sitting there sipping a beer as I look wistfully on.  Good god I’d like a beer right now.  But no, I’m satisfying myself with chilled water – I just finished the chapter in Dr Dukan’s book about the cold helping to burn calories.  I mentioned it to J this morning, and he proved his toughness by having a cold shower.  What’s a girl to do, but to prove her own toughness right back, by leaving the shower temperature where he left it.  BRRR!! Or at least, brr at first – by the time the shower was over, I wasn’t finding the temp so cold after all… and getting out was not as cold as it usually is.

I’m not sure if my 6 minute cold shower will do any good, or my chewing ice chips today, but we’ll see…

    Hi Charlotte. fingers crossed with you being more mobile, it will help with your weight loss. tho i personally cannot exercise every day – sometimes i run out of time and sometimes i simply dont want to! with or without exercise i have still lost a steady 2lbs a week. we r all different. ur body may be reliant on your exercise levels, so i am glad ur leg is on the mend and you will be happier when you can get more mobile. it looks like u r back on track. well done for resisting the beer – next time u will say NO to the pringles!! start of a new week 2morra, attack it charlotte – 100% with no weaknesses. you know u will see results when you weigh in. and STOP obsessing over the scales. i cringe when i read you weighing daily (sometimes more?!) !!!!! you will get disheartened, whereas if you go by how you FEEL – weigh in maybe twice a week – you WILL feel good IF you are behaving!!! back on track – good to see – all the best charlotte, enjoy the EDI sunshine – its amazing isnt it – perfect walking weather!! (Swimming for me today!)………x ps. nobody said dieting is easy, but this eating plan is one of the easiest i have done (and i have practically done them all!) – we just have to put ourselves out a little.
