  • chicken skewers – about 1 breast’s worth

  • chicken skewers – about 1 breast’s worth
  • 1 mini babybel light

  • chicken skewers – about 1.5 breast’s worth
  • 2 tubs of Muller light – YUM! perhaps went overboard, but my tastebuds said yes.  Fortunately there are now no more of them in the house.
  • 2 mini babybel lights

  • 70 minutes walking – to and from work, with a detour via Argos on the way home, to pick up… KITTEN STUFF!! J and I are, all being well, picking up our new kitten tomorrow night, yay!

OK, so the wedding was brilliant.  I had plenty to drink, but danced practically every dance they threw at us – I danced the Dashing White Sergeant, I danced the Strip the Willow, I managed a Canadian Barn Dance, and any number of other folk dances that I don’t know the name of.  I danced so many dances that the mother and father of the bride (whom I had only met that day) actually came and mentioned how they’d noticed my “enthusiastic” dancing.

I drank lots of booze, including non-diet soda, cause they didn’t have any.  I ate everything they put infront of me – haggis parcels (mmm, haggis) stuffed chicken breasts, green beans, whiskey sauce, and a lovely crannechan – a creamy Scottish dessert.  The only thing I didn’t eat were the 4 roast potatoes on my plate – I farmed them off to other plates at my table before we started eating, so I wouldn’t be tempted.  Then I had some chocolate wedding cake, and some Stovies (basically sausage with mashed potato – very Scottishly done) and then more alcohol.

And all throughout this, I danced at the ceilidh like it was the only thing keeping the ground from flying into the sky.

So.  The scale results this morning.

Up from last weighing on Saturday morning, but still, not as bad as it could have been, with all that off-list food.  I walked into work this morning rather than ride my bike, which means I’ll be walking home again.  And I’m planning another day or two of attack eating, tomorrow and the next day, before going back into cruise again

  1. Wow, sounds like you had tons of FUN! I now have to google “ceilidh” dancing. If it’s what I think it is, it’s very rigorous. Good for you!

    Gratz on the kitten.

Looks like we both have some recovery to do 🙂

Think I have to follow your advice and do the chicken skewers!
