Damn, I can’t seem to shake off this 3-day bounce.  It was all going so well and then something happened – or stopped happening.  Coincidentally, I stopped eating Muller Lights and haven’t had a mini babybel light in a couple of days, and then my weight bounced up again.  Maybe I should start eating them again in a few days and see what happens…

My walk into work was slowed this morning by driving, soaking rain which seemed to come from all directions at once – ugh.  Edinburgh has had its summer, are we ready for the long descent into winter again? 😉  Well, at least the cold will help burn calories, as Dr Dukan points out in one of the chapters in his book.  I took a cold shower again this morning in a bid to help kickstart the weight loss again.

A side note – every day, resisting things I shouldn’t have, becomes easier.  Things like mini flapjacks and other cookies at work, or a slice of J’s pizza, or the open pack of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in the cupboard.  Having some of the chocolate muffins has helped, though is it a coincidence that I’ve had a three-day-bounce after discovering them?

I’ve been examining my data,  and have been coming to the conclusion that the solid weight loss happens when one meal doesn’t happen for some reason – either I’m too busy with kitten or bride, or have totally fudged a meal and therefore don’t fancy eating it.  I know that Dukan discourages skipping meals, but I wonder if I should deliberately incorporate one, just ONE skipped dinner once a week, or just have something really light like a teensy bit of yoghurt…

The other thing that seems to bring about better loss is me cycling to and from work, and then taking a deliberate 30 minute walk in the evening.  I’d have done that today, had the weather not been so bad, and plan on doing it tomorrow if the weather is somewhat improved.
