Cruise day 36 – PP

Morning weigh-in: 103.1

  • Daily lost 0.1kg/0.22lbs
  • Total lost 9.2kg/20.24lb

Watercheck – 1.9l by 11pm

  • Oatbran porridge (with reduced oatbran, given that I’m having chocolate oatbran muffins today
  • 2 microwaved eggs
  • Cup of tea

Morning snack

  • chocolate oatbran muffin

  • Roast chicken breast from Tesco (all skin and fat removed)

Afternoon snack

  • Chocolate oatbran muffin, broken up into pieces, dropped in plain fat-free yoghurt with half teaspoon of raw cocoa powder – YUM! However, having the oatbran with the yoghurt, while tasty, just made me feel bloated.  I don’t think I’ll be going with this combo again.

  • Chicken chunks stirfried with fajita mix.
  • 1 mini babybel light

  • 35 mins cycling (had to run errands around town after work so was cycling for longer)
  • No walk today – the rain was just too bad.  I suspect I may pay for it on the scales tomorrow…     Scratch that, I went for the 30 min walk after all

Another 100g loss – my mantra is becoming “any loss is good loss.”  I’m ahead of my scheduled 1kg per week in cruise, so if I can just keep this pace up, I’ll be a happy woman.

There was another big meeting in the board room at work today, and tons of leftover sandwiches and biscuits.  Yummy, scrummy melty choccie biscuits… But I resisted them all. Leftover crisps – seriously yummy crisps, the kind that are so moreish that you’ve gobbled the entire bag without feeling sick – I resisted them too.  Though I will admit that I did put my nose up to them and had a good sniff – it’s the aroma as much as the taste and texture that I used to like about them.

Today’s exercise log was looking quite different about an hour ago.  I was just about to type something like “the weather was awful today, all rainy and horrid, so I didn’t make it out of the house for my walk.”  I got halfway through my sentence though, and thought, what am I DOING? It’s only a bit of rain!  If I’m to commit to this thing, I should commit to it wholeheartedly, rain, hail or shine.

So I donned my rainjacket (which fits a helluva lot better these days) went for my 30 minute walk after all, despite wind and rain.  The new disco mix on my iPod helped.  A lot. 😉

  1. Great attitude Char, I am planning to go for a walk tonight too, rain, hail or shine. I’m going to wear my snowboarding jacket if it’s raining and stick to the footpaths. It’s got a sneaky hole for my mp3 player too 🙂
Well done on the .1 and the 1kg goal for this week xoxo
