Morning weigh-in: 102.4 (A loss! A win!)

Well! What a result on the scales at last! That’s now 1.7kg down in the last 7 days – Happy Charlotte Is Satisfied.  Usually the big losses come following PP days, but perhaps the raw vege thing yesterday (which I totally loved) did its thing. Definitely gonna make that a regular thing, to make up a grazing box for myself.  I just need to work a bit on the dip thing – I’ll be doing a bit of experimentation this weekend I think – any suggestions?

Alas, my projected walk around the Meadows did not transpire as expected today – some friends came over to visit Link (who is growing at an alarming rate) and they only just left.  It’s too dark and late to be walking around parks now. *sigh*

I plan to be walking all over the place tomorrow running errands about Edinburgh, so I hope I’ll make up for today!

  1. Hopefully our synchronising doesn’t continue today, I put on 0.3…after a PP day! but that’s ok because I know it’s just my body doing what it’s doing and it will keep going down.
    I can’t believe I’ve been doing the diet for 3 weeks now, normally my enthusiasm would have dropped off and I would be changing back to my old habits, but not with Dukan. Those constant results are the biggest thing I believe that keep you on track.

    • Old habits? Not likely for me, the way I am at the moment; I am still dithering about doing the cruise! For one thing I’m kinda irked that my BMI puts me in the over weight group, another thing is that I feel I could do with losing just a wee bit more, but the main thing is that I am filled with trepidation because I am perfectly happy with what I am eating, drinking and doing, and I genuinely do not fancy celebration meals just yet.

      I have got used to Dukan food, and I do not miss much much, and so the thought of rice, bread or chips is yuk to me now, and I wonder if I ought to start forcing myself to eat things (some “celebration”, eh?).

      Can a celebration meal be a packet of peanuts? Boy, I did NOT see this coming!

I have a feeling we may well still be in synchrony – my informal evening weigh-in is usually a good indication of how much I’ll be in the morning, and especially without a walk this evening, I doubt I’ll have much luck tomorrow morning. But as you say, it’s the long term results we gotta look at – my 7-day rolling average has only taken a teensy upwards movement twice – TWICE – since this whole thing began almost 40 days ago. Go 7 day average! 😉

    • Hey, I just found your about page and see the live chart. Boy, does that give the big picture! You must be pretty chuffed with the progress. You seemed to have a wobbly start, but you soon found your stride; it’s falling off you now.

      You raised the issue of energy levels a couple of times, and I have to say that it’s only now that I can say that I’ve got energy that seems normal and consistent through the day. For a couple of months I was between OK and tired, especially in the evenings after work. I even wondered if it was because I was getting up for the loo in the middle of the night (a new Dukan related habit for me) spoiling a continuous night’s sleep. I reckon I am only now really in tune with things; I feel great and am back to my old self. Thank goodness too because protein rich diets are supposed to give you energy.
