Cruise day 79 – PV

Morning weigh-in: 95.3kgs

  • Daily LOSS 0.3kg/0.66lbs
  • Total lost 17kg/37.4lbs

Watercheck – 2.5l

Breakfast

  • oatbran porridge
  • 2x microwaved eggs
  • 1 stick of celery
  • Mug of tea

Morning snack

  • Mug of tea
  • 100g strawberry fat-free yoghurt (in a teensy tiny tupperware container!)

Lunch

  • Leafy green salad with cherry tomatoes, capsicum, spring onion, chicken breast & low-fat dressing
  • 5 slices of lean ham (might have been a bit salty, ugh.)
  • 3 sticks celery

Afternoon snack

  • Mini babybel light

Afternoon disaster

  • 6 very high calorie chocolate biscuits

Dinner

  • a slice of ham

Exercise

  • 25 mins on the bike to and from work
  • 80 mins on the cross trainer, burning 600 calories – the approximate calorific value of my afternoon disaster

Oh yeah! back to my lowest weight! (only took me five days…)  If I’m very lucky and don’t get too affected by the vege I have today, I might even be on track to get to 95.0 by tomorrow, which would in itself keep me on track to get to my target weight by Christmas.

As I believe I have already mentioned, Christmas is when all dieting is put on hold.  I’m gonna have a traditional Christmas with potatoes and pudding and cosmopolitans.  (Did I mention that J makes the best Cosmos?)

Given this caveat (with the exception days being: Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day) I suspect that it will end up being mid-January until I reach Consolidation.

So, all of the above jubilation was written prior to 5pm today.  I was the last one left in the office, and had taken it upon myself to clean up after a meeting which we’d been hosting that day.  I went to put all the coffee cups in the dishwasher, and was then faced with a difficult task – the leftover chocolate biscuits.  People who’ve got the relationship with food that I have will understand what happened next.  Noone was there.  Noone to witness my transgression (except me).  Noone to tsk or to tut or to look on disparagingly.

Gobble gobble gobble.

Six biscuits down the trap as I was cleaning up, lickety spit.

Dammit!

So, as penance, I went to the gym today and cross-trained off the approximate calories of the biscuits – 1hr 20mins on the cross trainer, for 600 calories.

Take that, chocolate biscuits, you’re not going to my hips.

And deepest apologies, body. I really need to learn to take better care of you.

    Oh Charlotte you made me laugh and want to cry because I feel the same about food. You are doing so well and well done on going straight to the gym to work it off.
    I see you have gotten into the Christmas spirit already!!! I dare not think of that yet.

    • Hehe, Jeanette – I’m glad (in some ways) that you can sympathise. It helps to confess my sins though, and helps even more that I dropped nicely on the scales this morning following my mega-xtrainer session…
