Morning weigh-in: 93.9kgs

Breakfast

  • oatbran porridge
  • 2x microwaved eggs
  • Cup of tea

Morning snack

  • 2x sugarfree butterscotch
  • cup of tea

Lunch

  • Grilled lemon & thyme chicken with steamed broccoli & asparagus
  • mini babybel light

Afternoon snack

  • Muller light
  • 3 sugarfree butterscotch

Dinner

  • Umm… I know this is bad, but I kinda didn’t have any – I ran out of time and by the time I had a moment to maybe wolf something down, it was 10pm – t0o late to eat.

Exercise

  • 25 mins cycling to and from work
  • 10 mins walking to&from my new orchestra!

D’you want the good news first, or the bad news?

The GOOD news – I’ve lost 40lbs!!  The weight of one of those big water cooler bottles (18.5litres) – that’s how much I’m NOT carrying around with me anymore.  Huzzah! Oh, and the other good news – my ShapeUps arrived – the shoes which are supposed to make me burn more calories as I walk.  They sure are comfortable, and for the first time in, like, almost EVER, my toes didn’t go numb on the cross trainer.  Yay!

The BAD news – I’ve got this horrid cold that seems to be making the rounds.  My throat is sore, my ears are blocked, and yet I STILL managed to drag myself to my first rehearsal with an orchestra here in Edinburgh. It was fun, but I’m wishing now that I’d stayed at home, cause my head is POUNDING!

  2. Good job Charlotte! 40 Lbs! that’s amazing! Very inspiring., Keep it up. I hope you feel better and don’t get sick. By the way, what kind of shape ups did you get? the sketchers? i’m planning on getting one and there are soo many out there, with different reviews, it’s soo confusing! 🙂

    • Hi Julie!

      Yep, I got the sketchers shapeups the xt metabolise I think. From what I can gather, there’s not a huge amount of difference between them really. However, they do run large- I’m usually a 7 1/2 – 8, but even the 7s are slightly spacious. I’d definitely suggest trying some in store first, then ordering online- I got mine for about £20 cheaper by ordering online. 🙂

      I’m looking after my body today, taking a day off and not forcing myself into exercise. I’m sure I’ll be back in fighting form before the week is out. 🙂

    • Awww, bee! Don’t lose heart! I have good weeks, and bad weeks… And I have a lot to lose, so it only looks like it’s coming off quicker! 😉

    Nearly 20 is absolutely amazing!!! Inspired me to not give up…being sick can easily make you lose all motivation if you’re not careful!!

  5. Hi Charlotte….it’s been a while! I’ve just popped over to discover you lost 40 pounds! That’s so amazing. I’ve been having a tricky time with Dukan over the last couple of days, so it’s great to see how you are going to try and get my head back in the right space.
