Afternoon snack

  • Dammit! 3 shortbread biscuits, a slice of cake and a chocolate biscuit. I thought I was better than that.

Dinner

  • 4x lean beef sausages

Exercise

  • 25 min cycle to and from work
  • 70 mins on the cross trainer (600cals)

Hmmm.  After my 3 days off diet this week, I’m finding it harder than I thought I would, to stay back on track.  I had bad stuff today to eat – I really really hate days when there are meetings on, and there are leftover biscuits.

So as penance, to burn those carbs out of my system, I indulged in a little of what I believe is called “exercise bulimia” – I went to the gym and burnt 600 calories on the cross trainer.

I have also decided that I really need to find an alternative to the Old El Paso Fajita mix – it’s got more carbs in it than I can justify – but it’s JUST SO TASTY!  I found a recipe online that is supposed to replicate the taste using raw ingredients, and I can replace the caster sugar in that recipe with sweetener.  I’ll let you know how it goes – I need to get dried chipotles from the tiny Spanish shop round the corner tomorrow, for the authentic smokey flavour… 🙂

  1. That’s good hon, a loss is a loss. Good to see you’re getting back into the swing of things.
How are you going with all of your Tupperware containers? Having a squiz at your food you seem to be doing ok with meals, but falling down at snack times.
Now that I’m on holidays I’m hoping to get in as much exercise as you! xo

    • Yep, you’re dead right – I’m fine with the planning, and my meals are generally pretty good. It’s the snacks that make the whole thing fall in a heap, and that’s possibly because i’m not prepared enough with “good” snacks. I’m trying to avoid tolerated foods as snacks, and as a consequence have nothing to snack on, and therefore end up chowing down on UNtolerated foods when they’re available. BAD Charlotte.

I will attempt to do better this week, and weekends are usually a little easier because there’s nothing tempting in our pantry or fridge – good food only.
