Huh. Even after all my sins yesterday, I’m still down a tad this morning.  Which is not to say yet that my body has forgiven me – sometimes I experience a delayed reaction…

But at any rate – thank you, commenters from yesterday.  You helped me stay strong today – there was LOTS of leftovers from this meeting, yummy biscuits and all, but I stayed strong, and stayed entirely on diet today.  Thank goodness Pizza Express has one Dukan Friendly Dish!

Feeling much more motivated today!

  1. Hey hey! Seems like you are back on the wagon! Result!
It doesn’t take a mathematical genius to figger out that 19.5kg over 100 days is 0.195kg per day, which rounds up to 0.2kg — and as a daily average, that’s fantastic (2kg every 10 days is a pretty decent rate don’t you agree? Most slimmers we know would accept 1kg every 10 days as a reasonable expectation.

Three stones in three months. Over the halfway mark, you are on the downward slide home now.

Good tip on Pizza Express; we would never have looked past the word “Pizza” in the name! TGI Friday’s do a massive green salad, and Frankie and Benny’s do a delicious chicken salad too.

We found that, during cruise, we had no real option but to order food like we were Sally Albright (Meg Ryan’s character in the movie “When Harry Met Sally”), and we were surprised at how happy restaurants were to make us Dukan friendly food! It sure beats not-going-out or giving-in-and-eating-what’s-on-the-menu!

We found it less of a problem dealing with low carbs, our biggest problem throughout cruise was getting low fat. For example, Morrison’s is terrible; they don’t tell you the fat content at all. ASDA adn Co-op tell you, but it’s almost always too high, Tesco have an Extra Lean brand, so we have to shop there!

Now that we’ve been in consolidation for a good while, we’re finding that carbs are extremely addictive, but so is fat (it makes things tasty after all). That surprised us — also we have been disgusted with the effects of sudden increases in fat and carbs, from noisy, churning tums, to wind pains, flatulence, tiredness, loss of energy, mood swings. We know that everyone’s different, but be warned — if you have been a good Dukaneer and you start eating some bread, celebration meals and pasta — there are “side effects”!
