Cruise day 110 – PP

Morning weigh-in: 90.9kgs

  • Daily LOSS 0.3kgs / 0.66lbs
  • Total lost 21.4kg/ 47.08lbs

Watercheck – 1.8l – not counting all the cosmopolitan cocktails that I totall blame on J.

Breakfast

  • Oatbran porridge
  • 2x microwaved eggs
  • Mug of tea

Lunch

  • 2x smoked salmon roulards

Dinner

  • Mixed tapas with my mum with thai salmon fishcakes, smoked salmon roulards, fajita chicken nuggets and lean beef sausages
  • 4 cosmplitans… oops.  Blame J.  He didn’t say “no” when I asked for more, like I told him to.  He just fed me more.  He makes the very very best cosmos in the world.  I might be under finfulence of them rightnow.  evil anasty cosmopol.itans…

Exercise

  • Nothing. Nothing. Zilch. nada.  my mum arrived and it all kinda went out the window – at about the same time the cosmopolitans flew IN the window…

Regardless of cosmos – it’s official! I now weigh less than 200lbs! Well, just.  I’m at 199.98lbs.  Hurray! And just one more kg till I’m out of the 90s…

My mum arrived to visit today, yay! It meant that I didn’t get much exercise, but I did make a tapas style dinner for us all – I totally wish I’d take a photo of it all.  The only thing marring the whole occasion was the bucket loads (ie four) of cosmopolitans I had on the strength of the booze my mum brought with her from Pakistan, where she was recently visiting.  She brought a litre of vodka and a litre of cointreau.  What’s a girl supposed to do when her man presents her with a (or four) cosmopolitans made from ingredients from her mother? Say “no”? I think not.

At any rate, we had a fabulous (albeit drunken) evening sipping cosmos, watching the XFactor and making our bets as to who was going to get through – we’d run a full statistical analysis based on who had had the most time devoted to them during their final auditions (yes, we were sitting there with a notepad and a stopwatch!) and so were gutted when Gamu didn’t get through – but we think that she’s going to be a Live Show Wildcard.

Dave and Ruth – you guys watch x factor as evidenced by your recent tooth mishap – do you think Gamu’s in with a chance?

  1. Yay, getting below 200lbs is great although I’m not used to using lbs. And the 80 something is also so close 🙂

Wow Charlotte, you are doing so well, though the use of lbs and kilo’s are confusing for an old mind! I think (and weigh) in stones and pounds, perhaps I should start using the “new” numbers so I can compare more easily with the rest of you Dukaneers.

When you have time, could you post the recipies for your pork mince and choccy custard please. Your food always sounds so good.
    Thanks

    • omg I’ve not posted my pork mince recipe yet? Shame on me! Fie for shame! I’ll get onto that today. 🙂

The chocolate custard is still a bit of a work in progress – I’ve not got the cornflour mix right yet! As soon as I’ve worked it out, I’ll let you know!! 🙂

I hope the drinks don’t put you out too much tomorrow. You are well and truly closing the gap between us! xo

  5. Well done for getting below the 200’s, you must feel awesome. I’m glad that I’m not the only one to be sneaking in a few alcoholic beverages here and there ; )

Can’t believe that Gamu get through on x factor either – total madness. Hopefully your wild card theory is right though. xx

  6. We all were amazed at who got through and who didn’t. It could be that they are better in the flesh than on TV, but hey — it’s a TV show, so you’d imagine they’d factor that in because, at the end of the day, the TV viewer will be voting for them.

Even more bizarre is what the judges DO… we are amazed… a panel of judges travelled up and down the country and folk got knocked back or put through. Then the TV judges take over — they select who goes through to the TV show public humiliation/ elimination contest, and then hand over everything else to Brian, Evie and Sinitta. Songs are picked, vocals are coached, styling is carried out. they perform and the judges make comment — then the public vote by phone. Is that it? they make comments or authorise the song choice? We’d rather be a judge on the X factor than be in the X Factor!

The kids like watching it with us on the big bed. Oli sticks her thumb in her mouth and strokes her blanket and watches with her mum while the boys fall asleep after 10 mins (unless someone’s teetch comes out that is) LOL!
