Cruise day 112 – PV

Morning weigh-in: 91.3kgs

  • Daily GAIN 0.7kgs / 1.54lbs
  • Total lost 21.0kg/ 46.2lbs

Watercheck – 1.7l

  • Oatbran porridge
  • 2x microwaved eggs
  • Mug of tea

Morning snack

  • Smoked salmon and ham with cream cheese and lime

  • Chicken fajita nuggets with cream cheese

Afternoon snack

  • Chocolate custard pudding – I think I’m getting the hang of this now, and am ready to write a recipe! 🙂

  • Rump steak with a light salad & tomatoes
  • 4 twiglets

  • 40 mins cycling
  • 60 mins walk around the Meadows

Bad food-day yesterday, hence bad weigh-in today.  I was, however, an exempliary Dukaneer today (apart from those 4 twiglets) and will be rewarded tomorrow (aah, the benefit of writing blog entries the next day, you get a crystal ball insight into the next day’s weigh-in… 😉 )

My mum’s staying with us just now, and it is absolutely lovely to have her.  It does mean that my normal routine has been slightly thrown off, but “diet behaviour” at home has not been adversely affected, thank goodness.  My mum has been enjoying my Dukan Way Of Life – I’ve got her converted to my oatbran porridge, and I’m probably going to be sending her away with some of my fajita seasoning along with the recipe.  My chocolate custard pudding has been given the nod of approval too.

Speaking of the chocolate custard pudding – did you know that the base for icecream is… Custard?! There are some sweet little icecream makers at Lakeland for, like, £40, and icecream is one of those things that I’ve been missing the most.  How great would it be to be able to make and enjoy icecream once more!?  All you bloggers who enjoy Skinny Cows – think of what you could make with an icecream maker!!? No added sugar! Low fat! Fresh ingredients! No ingredients that you’re not aware of!

I’m totally excited by this.

You are so focused Charlotte – you will soon lose that extra bit and be on the way down again.

As a matter of interest, when on a PV day, do you eat less protein as the veg fill you up more?

    • Hey Bee! I actually don’t eat THAT many vege on a PV day, not usually. Enough to satisfy the requirement to take in some vitamins – but I mostly stick to the protein, if I’m honest. I’ll have the odd hearty salad, and some vege in a stirfry, but I do find that it’s the meat that fills me up, and not in a bloaty way…

  2. I’ve just bought myself an icecream maker and I’m about to experiment with recipes, I can’t wait. Jelly and icecream….yum yum!!
