A Very Good Day today.  Thank you again for all of your incredibly lovely comments – you have no idea how much they’ve helped!!

My clicker idea’s doing very well today.  I had to reach for my phone 5 times today – once as we passed a crepe stand in town, once as I went past Millie’s Cookies as I was waiting for the optometrist to sort out my new glasses, once in Boots when I was hungry and I wanted a wee bag of raw carrot (I’m on a protein-only day – get me and my newly rediscovered self control!!) and twice in Sainsburys when I passed by food that my re-trained carb-monster belly was crying out for.  The counter app on my iPhone (which is called SmartCounter, if anyone’s interested) is kinda working like a mental “clicker” that people use to train animals.

“No! You don’t get the carby foods! CLICK!”

“No! CLICK! You’re on a protein day, no cheating! CLICK!”

And for each new day, you start a new clicker listy thing, so you can graph each day and see how things were going.   I mostly keep my phone in my bra, so it’s always there, ready for me to CLICK if I have carby thoughts.  🙂  I think it could be the beginning of a wonderful new relationship…
