Day 193 – Not-Really-Dukan-Day

Still not really hell bent on following the diet.  Bring on New Year.

Morning weigh-in 93.4kgs

  • Daily GAIN 0.6kg / 1.32lbs
  • Total lost 18.9kg/ 41.58lbs

Watercheck – 1.4l

Breakfast

  • Oatbran porridge
  • 2x microwaved eggs
  • Mug of tea

Morning snack

  • Mug of tea

Lunch

  • Savoury mince left over from last night
  • low fat sugar free choc pudding
  • mini babybel ligh

Dinner

  • Half a pepperoni pizza with J.  Oops.
  • 2 midori&rum with diet lemonade

Exercise

  • 25 mins cycling to and from work

1.30pm: Today I think I’m doing better, so far at least.  It’s actually been a pretty respectable Cruise day.  I’ve not had a single mince pie, nor have I dipped my hand into the tin of Quality Street chocolates in the kitchen.  Yay!

I’m actually trying to use a technique from an article that J sent me the other day.  Studies have shown that if you tell someone to imagine eating a bowl of M&Ms, they’re likely to eat less of them when asked to eat their fill.  So I’ve been going hell-for-leather, trying to imagine myself eating a mince pie: popping it out of it’s aluminium cup, biting through the sugar encrusted top bit of pastry, catching the crumbs and then chewing down on it.  Lo and behold, I didn’t seem to enjoy imagining it as much as I thought I would, and then realised that I probably wouldn’t enjoy eating that much either.

It will be interesting to see how the day continues: my days usually start out well, and then go downhill after that.

11.30pm: Pizza for dinner.  Bad, I know.  It came entirely from a place of laziness – can’t be arsed going to the shops, and even if we could, we couldn’t be arsed cooking.  It was Friday.  The really bad thing is, the pizza was really good.

Don’t worry, dear readers – I’m not blogging to say how well I’ve done, but to make sure that I’m fully aware of what I’m eating over winter/christmas.
