Day 194 – More non-Dukan times…

A hibernation period of not following the diet.  Bring on New Year.

Morning weigh-in 92.6kgs

  • Daily LOSS 0.8kg / 1.76lbs
  • Total lost 19.7kg/ 43.34lbs

Watercheck – 1.5-ish (can I include cocktails in this total?)

  • 1 slice of home made wholemeal multigrain bread
  • Mug of tea

Late lunch

  • 6 inch low fat sub from Subway
  • chocolate chip subway cookie
  • packet of walkers crisps

Dinner (with friends at my place)

  • Chicken breast in a ginger & yoghurt sauce, made by Erica’s mum (who’s also Doin’ the Dukan, along with Erica’s dad)
  • half a slice of homemade bread
  • A slice of cheesecake
  • 2 midori & rum cocktails & a glass of wine

  • 4 hours cycling and walking around town, doing Christmas shopping

Incredibly, after the pepperoni pizza last night, I have dropped almost a kilo on the scales this morning.  I attribute this to being back to blogging, and honestly writing down everything I ate – I’ve not been blogging recently and so things have been sneaking back into my diet, like chocolate, crisps and mince pies.

Of course, having said that, I didn’t have such a good Dukan Day today either (not that I’m particularly trying to right now)

On a positive note, I have pretty much finished my Christmas shopping for the household.  Even Link the Cat gets a stocking. 🙂

    Hi Charlotte
Just checking in to say hi. I am postponing Dukan until January 2 2011. Then I shall start with GUSTO – I hope. Trying to maintain what I have lost so far. Unfortunately I love mince pies, cheese straws and all things Christmassy so we shall see.
Here is to keeping those 10 kg off!!!
    happy Christmas.

    • Oh, I TOTALLY hear you, Jeanette! Christmas is a crazy difficult time to maintain the diet – Mince pies have also been my downfall.

Let us attempt moderation with moderation (hehe) together, and attack Attack together on Jan 2nd – Are you out there, other Dukaneers? Are you with me?

      Charlotte xx

Hi, it’s nice to see you back on the blog. I am also taking a break from as this month is not for dieters. I have put 1 kg back on instead of losing the last 4 but, hey, I’ll get back on the straight and narrow in January. There are just too many Portuguese Christmas dishes and desserts that I have to at least sample.
    Happy Christmas!

  3. That sounds like an excellent plan Charlotte, start the new year with ATTACK!

  4. Hey there !
So happy to see that you are back 🙂 I´m also taking a break until January 5th. I´m in Iceland now, staying at my moms house and it´s pretty hopeless to even try to stay on track. My goal for the holidays is not to gain anything and so far it´s working out for me 🙂

Great to have you back Charlotte – Merry Christmas to you and all your loved ones – I am also taking a break this week – the carbo piggy has been let loose – but I intend to get back into it after the New Year so see you back on the DD wagon. We are too close to the end to give up now!! especially Link the Cat!!! Cheers Ros

  6. Blogging is all about having a support group, and that’s exactly what you have here. I’ve strayed too far off the path to come back to exactly the one I was on. You encourage me with your progress, though. I will be joining you in getting back on track in the new year, just not on the Dukan, per se. Good luck to all of us, right? Huzzah!
