Hurray! A day without caving to sugar! I will admit that I eyed off the chocolate tub left over from Christmas, but I didn’t touch it…

We had what felt like a massive Tesco order today, lots of meat and dairy, but what with my chicken breasting and the giant vat of dukan friendly chicken veggie soup I made today, we’ve already got through HALF the chicken in the freezer. Fortunately the soup will serve us well once we hit Cruise on the weekend. And my my, I think it’s the best batch of soup I’ve made in ages – I’m not sure if it was because I added broccoli, or put in twice as much celery, or blended it to within an inch of its life, by by god it’s good! In fact, the soup is so thick and gloopy that Im thinking of using it as a basis for chicken stew.

I used this old recipe from my google docs, but leave out the barley these days – it really doesn’t need it.

I will say this though – as at 8.30pm, just before I have my planned hot chocolate, I’m feeling seriously hungry, and have a mild headache too. It was so long ago since I last did a proper attack (rather than just a few days of PP in response to a single days lapse instead of a full 4-6 weeks not following the diet) that i can’t remember if I got a headache last time.

I know that this is normal in a lot of cases though, so I’m gonna just pop a couple of ibuprofen and power on through it for now.

  1. Well done, I´m very very happy that you are getting back on track. I´m flying back home to the NL tomorrow and plan to start my re-attack on the 10th. This week is filled with birthday parties and other parties so that is why I´m not starting right away 🙂

Well done Charlotte. Your soup sounds yummy. You have just given me an idea about the hot chocolate!
I can relate to the mild headache as I started yesterday and also it has been AGES since I did the attack so I was very ready for bed last night.
    Have a good day!
