Well! That’s a bit better.  Not so great on the scales, but that’s what comes from a lack of self control for a week.  In response to that, I’m going to be PPing (not attacking) –  I’ll allow myself SOME tolerated foods, and I’m having 2 tbsp of oatbran in my porridge, not 1.5tbsp.  Today was a Practically Perfect Day.  I had HEAPS of liquid (all water, except the tea – yay), so I’m not going to be upset with a small jump or no change on the scales in the morning, it’ll all whoosh away as my five day PP phase goes by.

I’d admit, I felt “peckish” at work today.  But rather than hoe into the incredible chocolate slice in the kitchen, I kept my cool, and drank my water.  What’s more, last night, I went for a mini-rampage around the house, and threw out any carbs which might tempt me away from the Path of Righteousness.  I feel cleansed now.  Long may it continue.

On the exercise front – I need to keep a better eye on the weather forecast, and if it says there’ll be rain in the afternoon, I need to get out of the office at lunchtime and go for my walk then instead.  I’m too much feline to enjoy going out and walking in the rain, especially when my coat is soaking wet from the cycle home…

  2. Hi Charlotte! Sounds like you are back on track and doing great! You’re right, the closer you get to your target – the harder it gets! You’ve done great so far and I know that you’ll keep doing it!

    Hi Charlotte
Great blog, I’ve just found it, but wish I had found it earlier, you make the diet seem so much more ‘human’, so thanks for that. I’ve been on it for about 3weeks and am noticing measurements rather than scale. I’m terrified of the scale because if its not what I want then I’m scared of the low I feel. I’ve also been 99% healthy but will eat a small rice cracker and completely forget that I wasn’t meant to eat it, which will no doubt slow me down. I read that you were off diet cokes or coke lights, are these bad? Also are you eating redmeat as much as white meat? Thanks and keep up the great work. L
