What a crazy random day. Accidentally slept till midday, had to haul arse to get to a friend’s BBQ. Then was running late for Roller Derby, so had to haul arse to get there too. I arrived too late and so wasn’t given a role (I was supposed to be a Non Skating Official – NSO – at a practice bout) so I’d hauled arse essentially for nothing. Then I hauled arse to the pub afterwards, to enjoy sitting there watching my derby friends chow down on delicious looking nachos, crowing about how great today’s practice was, while I sat there sipping my diet coke and feeling a bit left out.

Did I mention that all of this arse hauling took place on my bike? I ended up doing a wide loop of the East Side of Edinburgh today – pretty much taking either side of my two options for commuting to work after I move into the new house. So I experience what commuting to work is going to be like every day on the bike. Ie not easy. At least for now. I’m sure after a couple of months, it’ll be the easiest thing in the world. 🙂

As for the weigh-in this morning, the scales couldn’t make up their minds – on moment they were on 97.6, the next they were up at 98.2.  I decided to split the difference and go with 97.9 – ie no change. I can live with that.

Oh those derby snobs! Was E there? We’re going back on attack for the week — first time since we “arrived.” We had your ham slices sprinkled with shredded low-fat cheese, rolled up & microwaved, for a very nice attack snack — thanks 🙂

    • No no, they weren’t being snobs… I was just feeling left out because I was late and missed out on a role in the practice bout.

      Yep, E was there.

    Hey there sweetie,
As you can see I have found your blog. Will have a good read tonight (on my lunch at the mo). I can already see there is a ton of info on here that is going to be hugely useful. Thanks babe. And keep going strong, you’ve done so well.

    • Hey hunny bunny! Hurray, you found the blog! Saaaay – I’m having my cousin around on Thursday, and she’s a bit of a Dukaneer as well, as it turns out. Why don’t you and Alan come around too and I’ll cook up a Dukan feast? I bet you and she would get along – you’ll both be doing the showbiz gossip thing… 😉

  3. The bike ride sounds like a hefty bit of exercise – where are those fafter exercise feel-good endorphins other people talk about when you need them?!
