Day 12 – Cruise PV

Watercheck:  1.7l – mostly alcoholic (hic!)


  • Mug of coffee
  • 3 microwaved eggs
  • Oatbran porridge with cinnamon


  • Chicken salad

Afternoon snack

  • 2 Gin & diet tonics with Naaaatalie. Lovely Natalie. (And Lisa too.)


  • leftover beef in black pepper sauce
  • chicken nuggety bites
  • (oops) a pint of vodka & diet tonic. It would have been ok if the Vodka hadn’t have been infused with exceptionally sugary Skittles. Dammit!


  • 25 mins cycling to and from work
  • 30 min brisk walk around the Meadows

Dammit. Up on the Scales of Woe this morning. Then again, it was a weigh-in two hours earlier than yesterday, before I’d had my… ahem… second morning toilet break.

Excuses excuses, I know. Sorry. And too much booze today *sigh*. But that Skittles vodka is so damn tasty. I’m not going to share the recipe here, you’re all to sweet and innocent to be lead astray by my terrible example.

And still not enough exercise … [update: I was about to go into a rant about how I wasn’t getting enough exercise, but then I stopped and facepalmed myself. Why write about it when I could go do something about it!? So I went for a half hour walk around the Meadows, and have returned hot and sweaty, despite the fact that it’s pretty cool out there. Sorry about the smell…]

There, see? Who says blogging never achieved anything? It just forced me out of my chair and out for a walk. Yay, you guys! Thanks! 🙂

  1. I love that blogging inspired you to stop what you were doing & exercise! For me, sometimes when I’m tempted to eat something non-Dukan-approved, I’ll think to myself about how I don’t want to include that food item in that day’s post about what I ate — and sometimes that’s enough to keep me from eating it… 🙂
