Day 34 – Cruise PP

Morning weigh in: 94.8kgs

Daily LOSS: 0.7kgs /1.54lbs
Total loss: 5.1kgs /11.22lbs

Watercheck: 1.8l – coffee, low cal cordial and a diet mojito!

Breakfast

  • Mug of tea
  • 2x microwaved eggs

Lunch

  • grilled chicken thigh pieces with Caribbean spice seasoning

Dinner

  • 2 more microwaved eggs
  • flaxseed & oatbran bread with extra light philly and vegemite

Exercise

  • 20 mins hill walking to see a potential wedding venue up Arthur’s Seat
  • No squats today – my knee is actually not feeling that great

Gaaah! Today was supposed to be a vege day, but it never really happened. We got a lot done today – took Link to the vet for his last round of injections to become an outdoor kitty, went to visit the new house and take various measurements, and went to scope out a possible wedding venue. But cooking a vegetably meal was not top of our list…

    • Hey Robs,

I think I’d be feeling better if I knew I had a job waiting for me at the other end of October. I’m kinda lacking in enthusiasm right now… 😦

        😦 Of course Charlotte :((

It certainly is a very stressful time for you!!!
Nevertheless… You’re handling your situation very well & do the best you can.
We’re all thinking of you 🙂

  2. Woo hoo!!! YOU did it! I totally get how you can forget about the veggies!

Can you tell me how you microwave your eggs? I’d love to try that when I wake up in the morning… I’m off to bed 🙂

    • Hey Sandi,

      Microwaved eggs:

Crack a couple of eggs in a coffee mug. Whisk em with a fork until they’re mixed.
Put the mug in the microwave, on high heat, for 20 seconds, stir.
Put put it back in, heat for another 15-20 seconds, stir.
Repeat the above with probably 10-second intervals, until your eggs are almost as done as you like them, and let them sit for a minute or so – they’ll keep cooking in the mug for a while.
It’s really kinda trial and error until you get to know your microwave a bit better. 🙂

      Enjoy!

      • I add a little bit of milk to my micro-eggs so that it resembles scrambled eggs. Either way, they’re pretty good!
Congrats on losing 5kg!!! You’re doing well, Charlotte, don’t let the lack of enthusiasm get to you – we all get that! 🙂
BTW, I just found out that I will be living in London come January, so roller derby here I come 😉

  3. Hahaha, what happened to the veggies at the end of a PV day?! Been there, not done that, popped a multivitamin!
    Great job getting under 95kg!!!
How do you make a DIET mojito??? With sparkling water?

    • Mmm, diet mojito:

A few generous sprigs of fresh mint
2 shots lime juice (freshly squeezed, of course!)
2 shots white rum (like bacardi)
      2-3 drops liquid sweetener
      Topped up with soda water

Muddle the lime and and mint in the bottom of a tall glass (I go with pints of mojitos, myself)
      Add rum
Chuck in a handful of ice and/or ice chips
      Top up with soda water
      Stir, adding sweetener to taste.

      Enjoy! 🙂

However, bear in mind that the rum contains some sugar, as well as the alcohol, which is in itself a kind of sugar. Also, lime juice is not strictly speaking allowed on Dukan – the citric acid throws you out of ketosis, apparently. But as a low-cal drink, it’s a winner!

Congrats on the weight loss babe.

I have a question for you. What is better carbs or sugary treats? It’s may last week and there will no doubt be some sort of nibble for my last day so what would I be better going for. I have no idea what is worse and pretty much won’t to avoid all of it but as it’s for me I would feel super rude not joining in a little.

Hope to hear good news on the job front for you soon. Sending you lots of good vibes!

  7. Hey Charlotte – hope things are looking up on the work front and down on the scales. My boss had a heart attack monday night which, bad as it is for him, has given me the most stressful week of my life. He’s ok and sounds quite chirpy, maybe he’s faking it to take the wife on a secret holiday?! Anyway hope your ok, stuff like this makes you think about whats important and it’s family and friends over any job or diet ;@)
