  • 25 mins cycling to and from work

OK.  So.  I wasn’t an angel with what I ate yesterday (and apologies for not posting, time got away from me and I didn’t even start the post) but I wasn’t totally evil.  And it’s the second Thursday in a row where I’ve jumped by a ridiculous amount from one day to the next.  Maybe I should start disregarding Thursday weigh-ins? At least it’s lower that LAST Thursday’s weigh-in, hooray.

Ahem.

In other news, my boss has just approved us obtaining Costco cards through our work, and I’m looking forward to obtaining some lovely big trays of meat for repackaging and freezing.

J and I have been talking long and hard about Dukan.  Neither of us have been particularly good recently.  We’ve decided that next Monday, we’re going to turn over a new leaf, and he’s going to contribute more to the cooking, on a more organised, scheduled basis.  That’ll be nice.  We’re going to do things like, set “dinner time” for 7.30, and agree meals in advance rather than saying “what do you wanna eat now?” “I dunno, what do you wanna eat?”

We’re going to have a celebration dinner at a restaurant once a month, and a celebration breakfast at a cafe once a month.  The odd drink here and there, but aside from that, we’re gonna be good.

From Monday, I’m going to try and get at least 30 mins walking in per day, on top of my daily cycling commute. I don’t care whether it’s at lunch time or after work, but I gotta do it.  I have a pair of trainers living permanently at work, and I work right behind one of Edinburgh’s most well known city landmarks (after the Castle) – Arthur’s Seat. God I love this city.

What’s helping this sudden bout of enthusiasm? Could have something to do with the fact that I can feel the Dukan community waking up from the long cold winter.  New bloggers are popping up, and we veterans hope to support them in any way we can.  We also hope to gain recharged enthusiasm ourselves from these fresh new Dukaneers – welcome! 🙂 Come! Join us! Blog! 🙂

  1. Charlotte, i’ve said it before and i’m saying it again, you are truely and inspiration. Even when i was off Dukan i ALWAYS read your blog and waited to read about your day. You’re doing great. And i love the commitment you guys are doing around the house with preparing meals and being on a schedule! That will help big time. So, Costco, ha? 🙂 that’s awesome! I love Costco! Love that i can buy lots of meat and chicken, then put them in the freezer. And not have to worry about shopping too often! 🙂

  3. Nice blog, really! It’s my first time here. I’m a Dukaneer from Poland, nice to meet you :).
Wow, great scores! Yo’re writing in details what you’re eating, doing, exercising – I appreciate that. It’s important to plan and analyze sometimes.
    I’m no angel, too – I’m a chocoholic ;).
    Warm greetings!

    • Hi there Turlaczek,

Thanks for your kind words – yes, I definitely find it useful to keep a close eye on what I’m eating, how I’m exercising, and how I’m feeling in the day. How are you going on your Dukan diet?

Hi charlotte. Greetings from South Africa. I am so glad to have come across your blog. I have been on Dukan for three weeks now and have lost 10kgs, starting weight 115kg! Its a bit lonely cause Dukan is not known here, so I ‘trawl’ the web for information and encouragement. And your blog is very inspirational. Well done!
